The Cleveland Association of Rescue Employees, I.L.A. Local 1975 is a 501(c)5 non-profit labor organization (EIN 34-1287062) representing 300 Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Medical Dispatchers, who work for the City of Cleveland, Division of EMS. These dedicated men and women work in Cleveland’s 911 Regional Emergency Dispatch Center, as well as on 25 Advanced Life Support ambulances – operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the City of Cleveland. In 2017, Cleveland EMS received 116,751 incoming emergency calls; responded to 105,714 calls; and transported 77,188 patients to area hospitals.
